About Boca VIPediatrics
A Pocket Full of Access to Your Boca Raton Pediatrician
At Boca VIPediatrics, we believe that all kids and families should be treated like V.I.P.s (Very Important Patients & Very Important Parents)! We take an individualized approach to your child’s care, tailoring each visit and treatment plan that best benefits our patients, thus avoiding the all too familiar “assembly line” approach in many pediatric practices. With a much smaller patient base, you’ll have 24/7 access to reach your Boca Raton pediatrician for maximum peace-of-mind.
Using our highly personalized membership plan, parents will have red carpet, front-of-the-line access to discuss their child’s health at any time. This often leads to earlier diagnosis and interventions, putting your concerns at ease and getting your child better, faster.
At Boca VIPediatrics, it’s all about our V.I.P.s. We schedule fewer patients per day, with no long wait times, and highly personalized care. Each appointment lasts as long as necessary. We believe that time with your family should never be spent in a waiting room, preventing unnecessary exposure to other germs.
The dynamics of Boca VIPediatrics enables us to focus more on wellness and prevention than most pediatric practices.
Dr. Chad Rudnick, MD FAAP
Founder & Physician
Dr. Chad Rudnick, MD, FAAP is a board-certified pediatrician born and raised in Boca Raton, FL. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, graduating with honors and attended medical school at the University of South Florida College of Medicine (Tampa, FL). He completed his pediatric residency training at Miami Children’s Hospital, ranked as one of the “Best Children’s Hospitals in the United States” by U.S. News & World Report. Seeing that children’s health care is too often approached like an “assembly line”, Dr. Rudnick set out to practice medicine akin to pediatricians in the early-mid 1900s, spending as much time as needed with each patient and getting to know all of his families. Boca VIPediatrics prides itself on providing old-fashioned service and treating each child as a VIP.
Dr. Rudnick has long been an advocate for his patients and children across the nation as a published writer and public speaker. He has worked with the American Academy of Pediatrics on advocacy projects to keep children safe from gun violence. Additionally, he partnered with the American Cancer Society on the “Pass the Buck” campaign which brought much needed research dollars to cancer research and helped to decrease the percentage of children who start smoking. He is an active member in the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and is a contributor to the AAP Council on Communications and Media. He can be followed on Twitter: @Peds_doc.
As a writer, he has published several articles in medical journals and has co-authored a chapter on allergy/immunology in the Textbook of Family Medicine. He also acts as a contributing author to BocaParent.com, The Parklander Magazine, MomsMiami.com, and KevinMD.com. Additionally, Dr. Rudnick maintains a pediatric based blog where he writes about common conditions affecting children and adolescents. His other interests include medical education and frequently serves as a preceptor for medical students and resident physicians as well as speaking at pre-med programs throughout the country. He is an Affiliate Assistant Professor of General Pediatrics at The Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University. In addition, Dr. Rudnick has authored a book detailing the journey for students interested in a career as a doctor, The Ultimate Guidebook For Getting Into Medical School.
Chad lives in Boca Raton, FL with his wife, Ashley, their daughter, Aria, and their dog, Snuggie. In his free time, Chad enjoys spending time with his family with hobbies and interests including baseball, basketball, cooking, and theatre.
Dr. Paul Gilbert, M.D.
Dr. Paul Gilbert grew up in northern Indiana and graduated with honors from Purdue University with a bachelors degree in biochemistry. He then completed his medical school training at Johns Hopkins University, ranked the #1 Hospital in America by U.S. News & World Report. During medical school, he did research on antibiotic drug discovery, tutored at a local elementary school, and taught a local “Sunday School” class every weekend. He graduated with honors, being elected to the prestigious national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha.
He then traveled to his family’s home state, Florida, to complete his pediatric training at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg. During his residency, he was published in Contemporary Pediatrics, a peer-reviewed pediatric journal and won the “Resident Teacher” award. He created and implemented a new curriculum to improve residents’ teaching skills and thoroughly enjoys working with residents and medical students. At the Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics inaugural “Brain Bowl” competition amongst the 9 pediatric residency programs in Florida, he helped lead the Johns Hopkins All Children’s team to victory and the State Championship title.
His passion for working with children extends beyond the medical field, as he has worked for 7 summers at a sleep-away camp, KenMont & KenWood. There he has had experience as a general counselor, head staff, and camp physician (and novice water skier). He hopes to maintain a strong connection with summer camps throughout his career.
In his free time, he enjoys reading, golfing, and taking advantage of the Florida life (Disney Annual Passholder and expert beach-goer). He is looking forward to this next chapter in his life in Boca, including the close proximity to his family in Jupiter.
